3D exists everywhere, like 3d film, 3d games, 3d clothes, phone, 3d rendering for architecture (we call 3d architectural rendering), car, medical, 3d visualization, 3d architectural animation, 3d virtual reality and so on. Micro-apartments in Pittsburgh

In an age of McMansions, SUVs and bulging waistlines, two local developers are looking to put the rental unit on a diet and bring the first so-called micro-apartments to the city.

A company named Burns & Scalo Real Estate Services Inc. has an agreement to buy the eight-story former Graphic Arts building at 422 First Ave., downtown, and is considering a plan to convert it, along with a newly built addition, into 100 micro-apartments.

"Best Tall Building" of Australia

Standing as Australia's first green skyscraper, 1 Bligh Street reached the pinnacle of architectural acclaim when it was awarded the title of Australasia's 'Best Tall Building' by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. The building, which is designed by architectural firms Architctus and Ingehoven Architekten is a testament to modern green innovation.

Four buildings in total have been handed down the title of ‘best tall building’ from across the globe in each of their regions. To be awarded this title, buildings had to show design and technical innovation, sustainable attributes and an ability to enhance both the cities in which they are located and lives of those cities' inhabitants. Committee chairman Richard Cook of Cook + Fox architects states that these elements are vital to achieve the highest quality of modern skyscraper design.

The win marks the first time an Australian building has been awarded a 'Best Building' title. Green buildings are increasingly winning 'best of' accolades in each sector. It is this strong recognition for holistic buildings that are green, functional and aesthetically pleasing that is motivating a new generation of industry members to design in a way that meets these high standards.

Tent London-Competition to Design a Feature

Referring to "See it, Buy it, Source it First", you may think of Tent London which is one of the largest design trade shows taking place during the London Design Festival each September. This year Tent London is going to hold a competition and offer 4 free feature spaces in the show.‘Design Feature at Tent London’is prepared to designers & architects that have a concept or design they would like to present to their 20,000 visitors. The destination is to emphasize the halls with installations that are also 3d environments (3d walkthroughs, architectural visualization...) which display the chosen concept clearly; whether it be colour, material, light, human interaction, diversity and so on. Concepts can be both complex and simple, if only be clearly evident in the installation. The deadline is March 16th.

3D is around everywhere

We are going to a 3d world. 3D is around everywhere, 3d film, 3d TV, 3d rendering, 3d architectural visualization, 3d architectural animation/architectural walkthrough, 3d model...3D creates a good visual impact to people. Even our 2012 New Year Countdown Ceremony will adopt 3d lighting. In Beijing, lighting test of 2012 New Year Countdown Ceremony has done. 3D lights make gorgeous visual feast.
Before entering our company, I seldom notice 3d technology and know little about it. Now I feel its greatness and wonder, even business value.
